What makes it worth it.......

Sometimes it takes a lot of effort to get them to play nice together. But when they do it makes it all worth it.

Ava moved her chair so she could sit by " my sister sadie"

Ice Fishing

I forgot I had these pictures to post until just now, otherwise I could have posted them sooner....I know my blog has been boring lately. Chris took Ava ice fishing a couple of weeks ago and here are a few pictures. Although she appears to be having fun the fun only lasted about 10 minutes. Then she got cold, bored, and wanted to go home.

Her cousin Bennet was there too.

Ava, Dad, and Cash.
They never did catch anything but 10 minutes isn't really enough time for fishing. Oh well. We'll try again when she's a little older maybe.

psych!

I haven't taken any pictures lately and other than the fact that we have no water, again, I don't really have anything new to share. So here is another quote from Ava.

Ava: "Grammy, guess what?"

Grammy: "What?"

Ava: "Momma has a baby in her tummy."

Grammy: "WHAT!?!"

Luckily Chris was there and was able to inform grammy that she was referring to the momma cow in our corral. Not me.

True Love

Conversation between Chris and Ava last night (if you can call it that; Ava was having a major melt down!)

Chris: "Calm Down. It's okay"
Ava: "Stop saying that! It's not okay!"

Later while trying to say goodnight (still having before mentioned melt down)....

Chris: "I love you. (pause while waiting for reply). Do you love me?"
Ava: "I can't tell right now."

Kids are so funny. At least she didn't say "no".

And go HERE to see what I've been up to in the girls' room.

We dreamed of a white Christmas....

But it didn't. We were completely snowless on Christmas day. Not a flake to be seen. So we had to wait until the snow came before Ava could really enjoy her Christmas present from Uncle Joey:

(...said with the voice of the announcer on The Price Is Right...what was his name? The guy with the crazy clothes? Anyway... )

A NEW SLED!
It's actually not just her Christmas present. It's for all the ranch kids. Isn't it adorable? He made it himself.
We finally have enough snow that dad was able to take Ava and mom for a ride.

And how does it work you might ask? The only way we do things around here of course! With a 4 wheeler! (Kind of redneck huh?)

Ava and mom in all our bundled up glory.
Isn't that a great gift? Thanks Uncle Joey!

Christmas 2010

For My Parents:
(and any one else interested in our boring Christmas pictures)

Our Tree (after Santa came) The Morgan traditional picture on the stairs.
"Look what santa brought!"
The slinky was the biggest hit of all.
Ava helping Sadie who couldn't do it herself
Ava admiring her new princess umbrella.
Opening mom's present for her.
Sadie playing on her new bike.
Ava opening her new Kitchen. Also, wearing her new Dora backpack which is what she asked Santa for.
Playing with her new (partly assembled) kitchen.
Merry Christmas everyone. I hope yours was as wonderful and fun as ours.
And Happy New Year!

Ava's 3rd Birthday

For my own personal amusement I have to put pictures from Ava's 3rd birthday on here. If my house burned down tomorrow at least I'd have all the pictures I've posted on my blog, right?
This is Ava's official 3rd Birthday picture. She's got on her party skirt and she's giving me the best pose I could get (even if she is looking at the TV instead of the camera!)
We had a pizza party before the birthday party and this is Ava with cousins Bennet and Paul.

Ava was so happy with our singing job that she gave us all a nice applause when we finished.
Then she blew out the candles!
Opening presents.

Ava and cousin Wyatt singing on Ava's new CD player.
Ava modeling her apron from Grandma.
