Just Pictures

I don't have anything new to post about but I'm sick of looking at the last post and I'm sure you are too so here are just a few pictures from the past couple of weeks.
Ava loves to help out in the kitchen. No matter what I make she wants to be part of it. Her favorite thing to do is help with the flour. As you can see she also likes to play dress up!
Here she is helping me make bread.

Ava is lucky enough to have cousins close to her age who also live close. Her (2nd) cousins Paul and Wyatt came over to play with us a few days ago and Ava and Paul somehow ended up playing on the window sill.
Ava and Sadie eating blueberries and raspberries for breakfast one morning. I love how happy Ava is and how Sadie looks like she got up on the wrong side of the bed.

Who doesn't love the 80's?

I took this picture after I got Ava ready one morning (complete with side ponytail) because I couldn't help but think she belonged in Girls Just Want To Have Fun........
And now I know why!

Pink calf length leggings and ankle boots. Not exactly the look I was going for when I got Ava dressed but I guess these days anything goes!

So You Think You Can Dance?

I know I already posted on facebook that I went to this dance tour but it was so much fun I have to brag a little bit more and post pictures of course. This is the second year in a row that I've gone to this. The first year we were up in the nose bleeds and though it was still fun (the best part being that the girl I was staying with thought I was trying out for the show not watching it! haha. too funny.) it wasn't as fun as being 14 rows back! This is a picture of all the dancers that were on the tour. They were so good and it is so fun to watch. If you haven't ever seen the show you've got to give it a try. I love it!

This is (left to right) Veronica, Phoebe, and Me. I'm already excited for next year!

Hold Your Horses

After riding today Chris brought his horse to the house so the girls could ride it. I had serious doubts about both of them willingly getting on the horse but it turns out I was wrong. After her inital timidness Ava got pretty comfortable and even let Chris lead the horse around the yard.
Sadie, who has, up until now been terrified of horses was the biggest surprise. She loved it!
And I mean LOVED it. She cried and threw a fit everytime we made her get off. She loved it so much her cousin had to ride with her because we couldn't pry Sadie off.
When Ava was ready for her second turn Sadie still wouldn't get off so they shared a ride.
Thanks for the fun ride Daddy!

And So It Begins......

Last week we got our first snowfall of the season. It seemed to come out of nowhere. I had a picture but I just now accidentally deleted it so we'll just skip over that....
With the snow came all of our leaves. They hadn't started falling yet because our Fall has been so warm. Do you see the person in the hidden picture? :)
We got rid of our sandbox for the winter so the leaves have been good entertainment.
Of course, what's a Halloween/Fall season without pumpkins. This was Ava's first experience and she was really hesistant about pulling out the "guts" but she loved the carving part.
Ava's final product (that's Dad's free hand handiwork!)
With Halloween being on a Sunday this year we decided we'd stick to just doing the ward "trunk or treat". Then I decided that wasn't enough so we did a "Halloween parade" through downtown too. This was Ava getting ready to go to the parade.
In case you can't tell, she's a fairy. (we got a lot of princess comments but I'm pretty sure princesses don't have wings!)

Sadie was our little witch!
We took the girls to see their Grandparents and Great Grandparents before we went to the "trunk or treat" so they could see their costumes. This is the girls with their Great Grandma.
Happy Halloween!
